A Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) is a government-authorized centre licensed under the Motor Vehicles (Registration and Functions of Vehicle Scrapping Facility) Rules, 2021, notified by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India.
RVSFs are the only legally recognized facilities permitted to permanently deregister and dismantle End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) in India. They are directly connected to the national VAHAN portal to ensure real-time, tamper-proof deregistration of your vehicle's Registration Certificate (RC) in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Noida, Greater Noida, and Delhi NCR.

📋 Legal Basis
The National Vehicle Scrappage Policy was announced in Budget 2021 by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and operationalized under Scrapping Notification S.O. 1464(E), making RVSF-based scrapping mandatory for ELVs.

Who Must Scrap Their Vehicle?
Under the National Vehicle Scrappage Policy, the following vehicles are mandated for scrapping after the specified age limit:
Years Old or More
Private cars, two-wheelers, and non-transport vehicles that are 15 years or older must undergo a fitness re-test. Unfit vehicles must be scrapped at an authorized RVSF in Uttar Pradesh.

Years Old or More
Commercial trucks, buses, taxis, and transport vehicles 10 years or older without a valid fitness certificate must be scrapped. Continued operation in Noida and Ghaziabad is illegal.
